Green Valley, Arizona is a unique place. Mostly populated by the 65 and over crowd, it's a retirement mecca. Cheap cost of living, warm winters and golfing make it irresistible to snowbirds and they almost always relocate here permanently. Lucky for us younger people who live and work here year-round, they bring with them some unique talents and wisdom. When I say wisdom, I mean craft wisdom! Knitters, seamstresses, quilters and painters are all in the population here. In light of that , we began the Green Valley Crafts Page for sharing your work, selling your projects and locating the services of crafty individuals. This page asks you to please request being added as it is a closed forum, but it would be a rare day when we would turn away someone looking to join! Check it out and start sharing your handmade items now, just in time for the holidays or just meet-up with like-minds! Find it Here: Green Valley Crafts Page.
Living in a small, rural community that is an off-shoot of Tucson, it makes it hard for crafters and artists to find what they need. We have decided to share our vinyl supply with the community in smaller pieces so they don't have to order yardage from bigger cities further away just to get a small craft project completed. We added "The Vinyl Countdown - HTV & Craft Vinyl services to Facbook and update our choice of colors regularly. We offer both heat Transfer Vinyl and Decal Vinyl in some basic colors and blingy ones, too. So if you live in the Tucson area and are looking for a little bit of vinyl, visit our page, give us a call or drop us an email on our Contacts Page.
It's almost time to start planning your Teacher Appreciation gifts and project ideas. A hugely popular way to celebrate Teachers is to make them a door poster, decoration or banner. This design is one I made a few years back. The teacher loves it so much it STILL hangs in her classroom. It takes a little work but the result is fabulous. Make your teacher the toast of the town with this awesome design using my free printables and following the instructions on my blog here: FREE TEACHER APPRECIATION DOOR PRINTABLES.
When someone hears the term "Graphic Design" or "Graphic Designer" a big question mark may be the first visual they get in the imaginary bubble over their head. Graphic Design is just a fancy word for making digital artwork and adding the right wording or "text". Designing your own custom tshirt is easy with the right designer. Your ideas can be brought to life with examples like mock-up illustrations (like the one here showing a cowboy themed baby shirt set.) You don't need fancy software. Just give Floppy Poppy Gifts a call and we can work it out together. Here is the link to our contact us. simply click and fill-out the form: Help me design my dream shirt.
Laundering is a vital part of prolonging the lifespan of your sports jersey or uniform. Most uniform components are made up of polyester and spandex components and high tech fabric blends. Caring for a jersey will help the appliqués last, keep its shape and protect its color. Generally speaking, dryers and heat are the enemy of the uniform. Cool water washings and hang drying will help it retain its shape and a smooth texture. Removing from the washer promptly after cleaning is also advisable. Paying attention to the manufacturer's ins ructions on the tag is another rest practice for best results. If you have used a good service like Floppy Poppy Gifts, then the uniforms will be high quality, have embellishments paired properly with the fabric and easy sizing.
