Recently I have gotten into sewing. I was given a new Janome sewing machine for my birthday last year and started sewing on paper. I wanted to create journals and cards with sewn accents so my husband bought me a nice sewing machine that was powerful enough to sew through layers of paper. This unlocked a passion for sewing that I could not have anticipated.
Through my online journeys for making fabric projects I realized quilting was where I wanted to go with this new interest. Having a few styles of machines and a new sewing space to grow into has dominated my hobby time for the past few months.
I also joined our local quilt guild and attended a meeting and some classes. Stay tuned for all of my latest projects as I venture into my new interest.
