Cute Anniversary Card Layout
The other day my husband and I were out and about and talking. I can’t remember what we were chatting about but he quipped “Safari, So Good!” and I knew I had to immortalize it in a card layout!
Luckily I have the Rhino Ready stamp set all warmed up from my recent ‘Crunch Time’ layout so I knew what I wanted to do immediately. You can visit my compiled list of items I used to make this card or substitutions that will work by visiting this link: https://s.tamp.in/87Kkxr
Side Note: I actually used a monstera leaf stencil I had saved from my Paper Pumpkin kit February 2022 Safari Celebration. The die cut leaves that came with were the perfect shape for what I had envisioned (see below for the die cut leaves on the Paper Pumpkin cards). You can still purchase the refill kit for this Paper Pumpkin here but you have to be a current subscriber.
This card layout is a testimonial to combining seemingly unrelated Stampin’ Up products into new combinations to create a card that fits the design you want to create. Often times, I purchase items based on the way it’s been styled in the Stampin’ Up catalog only to tire of that use once I’ve recreated it a few times. By reimagining the shapes and motifs, I practice reimagining scenes with different characters and themes as often as I can. This gives me endless possibilities and helps me keep designing.
Reimagining a product’s use is also a great way to cope and work through products being retired which, can really take the wind out of a Demonstrator’s sails when we’ve gotten too attached to a suite, set or bundle. By breaking these products down into their individual components we can continue to stay inspired.
